Salcombe, ‘Rose Sainte Marie’

41.4% | 70.0cl

The Salcombe Fruit Schooners of the 19th century loaded citrus fruits and herbs heading for England’s ports from the historic ‘Sainte Marie’ lighthouse which marks the Southern entrance to the Old Port of Marseille. Salcombe Gin ‘Rose Sainte Marie’ is a celebration of adventure, colour, freshness, and pleasure that captures the vivacious character of the Mediterranean coast. It is inspired by the fragrances, flavours, and way of life of the South of France.

Salcombe Gin ‘Rose Sainte Marie’ is a delicate, fresh, and genuinely beautiful gin that makes you want to sit outside on the rooftop of your favourite restaurant on a breezy summer night and watch the world go by.

Distilled and made with the finest Macedonian juniper berries to offer structure, and a natural, but not overbearing, delicate sweetness from strawberries and angelica.

Fresh lemon and orange peels are hand peeled each day before distillation and mixed with ten additional hand picked botanicals such as lemon verbena, rose petals, orange blossom, and pink peppercorns to produce this absolutely remarkable gin.

Tasting Note

Delicate notes of fresh lemon peel and Provence herbs, balanced by the natural richness of red fruit and the unmistakable perfume of white blossom and orange blossom. Lavender, lemon verbena and a dash of white pepper add a delicate touch. Full and intense on the palate while staying smooth, with an endearing, lingering softness.
