Before prohibition, the Willett family had previously had a long history within the distilling trade so it was no surprise that they set up their own distillery in 1936, only 3 short years after prohibition in America ended. Johnny Drum Black Label boasts aromas reminiscent of riding horseback through the Kentucky forest with scents of pine, honeysuckle, flowers and mint. The sour mash used in production presents a wonderful, full-bodied whiskey with flavours of wheat, caramel, dried fruits and spice.
