Ginjo Yuzushu Citrus Sake

Ginjo Yuzushu Citrus Sake liqueur is made using an unusually large amount of fresh yuzu from Hyogo prefecture, which is pressed upon arrival to retain the pure scent of the uncommon citrus fruit that is highly valued in Japan. It adds a unique twist to even the most polished cocktails and may be enjoyed straight or on ice as an aperitif or after dinner.

Tasting Note

Ginjo Yuzushu Citrus Sake is supple and fruity, with pleasant grapefruit scents, it gives powerful zesty flavours and a sweetness wonderfully tempered by the tanginess of the yuzu. The finish is refreshingly cooling and fragrant.

The distillers of Ginjo Yuzushu Citrus Sake recommend a great cocktail

(for two)


  • 15ml Tequila
  • 50ml Cointreau
  • 25ml Akashi-Tai Yuzushu
  • Half an egg white
  • 25ml Lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 5g Shichimi


In a cup, mix the salt and the shichimi. Rub the rims of the glass with lemon and dip the rim of the glass in salt.

In a shaker, mix all ingredients and add a few ice cubes. Shake well for 10 seconds and filter in a glass. Garnish with a twist of yuzu or lime.
