About the Producer
Meursault, nestled between Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet, is famed for exceptional white wines. Vallet Frères maintain low vine density and strict pruning to ensure low yields. For over 50 years, only manure has been used on their limestone soils, with hand harvesting to select prime grapes. They are among the few Côte d’Or producers still using ultra-traditional methods: grapes come from vines aged 20+ years; juice is decanted then fermented in open wooden casks with natural yeasts and no temperature control. Wines age on lees and in French oak barrels for at least six months.
