Hennessey, Cognac XO
40.0% | 70.0cl
Founded in 1765 by Irish-born Richard Hennessy, the House of Hennessy has become one of the world’s most recognised Cognac producers. Hennessy X.O was created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy and Master Blender Émile Fillioux for Maurice’s close circle of friends. It was one of the first Cognacs to carry the designation X.O – Extra Old, reflecting the long maturation of its eaux-de-vie. More than 150 years later, it remains the signature expression of the Hennessy house.
Tasting Note
Rich, powerful and beautifully rounded, with candied orange and ripe apricot leading into warming spice and pepper. The palate develops layers of dark chocolate, vanilla and toasted oak, with a voluptuous texture and a long, warming finish. Complex and exceptionally persistent, with lingering oak and spice.
