Beefeater London Dry Gin has been made at the historic Beefeater distillery in the heart of London since 1863. As one of the world’s oldest and most iconic gin brands, Beefeater has stood the test of time to become the number one premium gin. The recipe uses a unique blend of 9 botanicals that was created by the original Master Distiller, James Burrough. This secret recipe produces Beefeater’s signature smooth, dry taste with citrus and spice notes.
While trends come and go, Beefeater London Dry maintains its classic quality and flavour profile that gin lovers have enjoyed for over 150 years. The brand prides itself on tradition and doing things the right way – in the city where it all started.

Beefeater follows a traditional London Dry gin production method that has changed little since the 1800s. It starts by redistilling neutral grain spirit in a copper pot still along with juniper, coriander, Seville oranges, lemon peel, licorice and other botanicals. Only the Master Distiller knows the exact recipe. The gin is then cut to bottling strength using pure water from an on-site well that lies beneath the distillery.
Beefeater has preserved the traditional techniques of soaking botanicals in “gin baskets” and keeping the stills small to maintain optimal flavour extraction. Additionally, Beefeater is one of the only major gin brands to still bottle its spirit at the original distillery in the heart of London. This dedication to tradition ensures a consistent, quality flavour.

Tasting Note

Bright lemon and Seville orange fill the glass, balanced by earthy juniper and spicy coriander. The first sip delivers pronounced lemon peel, orange zest and subtle anise alongside piney juniper. A light minerality carries through to the clean, crisp finish — refreshing and dry, with signature layers of citrus, herb and spice.
