Beefeater 24 Gin comes from the historic Beefeater Distillery located in the heart of London. Beefeater was founded in 1863 and is the world’s most iconic gin brand. While staying true to their heritage, Beefeater continues to innovate and create new takes on their classic London Dry gin. Beefeater 24 is the distillery’s first premium gin designed expressly for mixing in cocktails. It took Master Distiller Desmond Payne over 6 months to create the unique botanical blend that makes Beefeater 24 so smooth and mixable. This meticulous attention to detail resulted in a contemporary gin that still reflects the Beefeater tradition of quality.

The name Beefeater 24 comes from the additional 24 hours of steeping time during the distillation process. On top of the classic Beefeater botanicals like juniper and citrus, Chinese green tea and rare Japanese sencha tea are added to the copper pot stills. These teas infuse for a full day before bottling, allowing their flavours to fully permeate the spirit. Additionally, Spanish grapefruit peels are included in the recipe, creating notes of citrus that also work beautifully in cocktails. Beefeater 24 is bottled at 45% ABV which adds to the smooth character. Every element was specially selected by Desmond Payne to produce an elegant, mixable gin.

Tasting Note

Citrus and green tea on the nose — lemon, lime and grapefruit intertwined with delicate jasmine and sencha. The palate mirrors this beautifully: tea, grapefruit and pine, with a whisper of sweetness and ginger spice. Luxuriously soft and round in texture, finishing long and mellow as the tea flavours slowly fade.
