Aval Dor Cornish Gin, (previously known as Stafford’s Gin) is the result of hours of effort and love. Not only do they make the vodka from their own home grown potatoes as their base spirits, they use the finest botanicals from around the world including juniper, coriander, orris root in addition to fresh lemon balm, rosemary and bay leaves, picked from their Grandmother’s garden, which all play their part in producing this delicious gin.
They have the accolade of being the first plough to plate distiller in Cornwall.
Tasting Note
Herbaceous and oily on the nose, with a sweet, nutty undertone and citrusy high notes. Juniper is prominent on the palate, accompanied by a hint of bay, marzipan and Brazil nut. Mixed citrus flavours develop through the mid-palate.
