Teliani Valley, Winery 97, Saperavi
Kakheti | Georgia

Saperavi is often compared to Malbec, Cabernet Franc and even Gamay depending on how it is made. This is dark, juicy and fresh, beetle-black in hue, rich and full but finishes really brightly with a gentle grip. Its delicious.

About the Producer
Wine is made from Georgias’s indigenous grape variety – Saperavi, which is hand harvested from the Kakheti Region (East Georgia). Wine undergoes 7-10 days of fermentation on skins. Once fermentation is complete, skins are removed from the wine. 50,000 bottles were produced. Although their roots go back years and their connection with traditional winemaking is still strong, Teliani Valley today attracts and supports the most exciting winemakers in Georgia.
Food Pairing
The wine pairs well with spicy sausage stew, a juicy burger and barbecued meats.
