Southwestern Distillery was founded in 2012 by self-taught Master Distiller Tarquin Leadbetter, who set out to create a world-class Cornish gin after experimenting with a tiny copper still on his kitchen stove. The first bottle of Tarquin’s Gin was sold in 2013, and the business has grown from those humble beginnings into an internationally recognised, independent family-run distillery.
Still proudly based in Cornwall, the distillery combines traditional, hands-on techniques with modern distilling, using flame-fired copper pot stills alongside its larger 500-litre still. Every bottle is filled, labelled, waxed and stamped by hand, keeping the craft and personality at the heart of the brand

Tasting Note

Tarquin’s SeaDog Sloe Gin is a rich, fruity take on the distillery’s signature Cornish gin, made by infusing their gin with ripe Cornish sloes. Expect juicy red berry and sloe flavours balanced by Tarquin’s trademark piney juniper, with hints of citrus and gentle spice. Luscious and warming without being cloyingly sweet, it has a lovely tartness and a smooth, lingering finish. Delicious neat over ice, or with a splash of tonic and lemon.
