Peat Monster Whisky 70cl, 46%

Compass Box Whisky was set up in 2000 by John Glaser, ex-Marketing Director for Johnny Walker. He sources and blends the finest scotch to create a brilliant selection of whiskies and the Peat Monster is no exception. The origin of the whiskies for Peat Monster is kept under strict lock and key but what we do know is that some is from the village of Port Askaig on Isley along with some whisky from the south coast of Islay. The blend is vatted with Ardmore whisky and aged in a mix of first and seconbd fill American oak casks. The result is a pronounce peaty aroma with slight salinity. The palate opens to sweet floral notes, smoked bacon and a mixture of peaty botanicals.
