Paul Hobbs Crossbarn Napa Valley Cabernet
Napa Valley | USA

Vivid aromas of ripe blackberry, cacao and cigar box harmonise with flavours of freshly crushed wild berry, allspice and sweet tobacco. Black cherry hints emerge alongside marked minerality, framed by fine-grained tannins.
About the Producer
Raised on a farm in the US East Coast, Paul Hobbs’ first wine was Chateau d’Yquem. Originally studying medicine, his scientific background shapes his precise, complex winemaking. Called the ‘Steve Jobs’ of wine by Forbes, he’s known for low-intervention methods and multiple 100-point scores. Crossbarn, named after a family barn, reflects Paul’s values of hard work and integrity. Using hand-harvested fruit from top California vineyards, Crossbarn wines offer pure, youthful fruit expression. The Cabernet undergoes cold soak, native yeast fermentation, and 18 months aging in mostly used French oak, bottled unfined.
