Intense ruby red colour with purple tinges; pronounced aromas of red fruits, with hints of plum and spices. Full-bodied and well balanced, with a lively tannin and a pleasantly lingering finish of ripe red fruits.
About the Producer
In its fifth generation, Laolo Seo is based in the Dalento wine village of San Tonaci. The story of this beautiful estate began at the turn of the twentieth century, when Antonio Leo started to vinify the grapes grown in the vineyards of Masseria Monticello. The winery has enjoyed constant investment over the years and is today a modern winery. Mainly indigenous grape varieties are grown in the 80ha of vineyards; Primitivo, Negroamaro, Fiano. The company is certified, BRC/IFS, ICEA Organic
Grapes are destemmed and crushed; fermentation takes place at controlled temperature of 22-24 °C and lasts 8-10 days.
Ageing
3 months in French oak barrels.
Food Pairing
The aroma of Malvasia Nera “MoraMora” matches well with slow-cooked meat in a sauce. Also pairs well with cheeses.

Malvasia is believed to have originated from the Greek town of Monemvasia, a medieval wine-trading center in the Peloponnese, where sweet wines were produced and exported by the Venetians.
