About the Producer
The Bodega was established in Autol in the Rioja Baja in the late 19th century by Don Joaquin Garralda Oñate, the Marques de Reinosa. The Bodega is now owned by the inhabitants of the village and it currently has 1,075 hectares of vines in this, the warmest region of Rioja. Fermented at 16-18C. Aged in tank on fine lees for 3 months prior to bottling. crushed and de-stemmed, the fruit is then macerated at 4C for 24 hours, before fermenation in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts, with tepreatures kept below 16C. After fermentation, the wine was matured on the lees in tank for 6 months prior to bottling.
