Eternal Absinthe 50cl, 69%

The Gin Kitchen’s journey began in early 2016 when Kate was inspired by an article on the gin revival, a light bulb moment occurred and she knew right then that she had to open a distillery with her good friend, Helen.

They invested in a copper still from Portugal called Dinky Dragondale and the rest is history. A simple idea in the Surrey Hills now means that their small batch gin is now found as far as Vancouver!

Eternal Absinthe is a contemporary combination of green anise, wormwood and fennel, with the addition of rose petals for a moreish elixir, the colour of rosé wine instead of the usual bright green.

Ingredients include: green aniseed, fennel seeds, grand wormwood, red rose petals, licorice, immortelle, calmus root, melissa, elecampane, sage, nutmeg, peppermint, galangal, orange zest, grain spirit

The nose and the palate gives candied aniseed with a fragrant floral backdrop and a delicate rose finish with more attention-grabbing aniseed.

A revival of an 18th century style of absinthe using rose petals giving a delicate floral finish. The porcelain bottle is decorated with tattoo art by Ruth Ormsby-Ashworth.
