About the Producer
Bodegas Murviedro was founded in Valencia in 1927, as the Spanish subsidiary of the Swiss Schenk Group, and has grown to become one of the most important wineries in the region. It has access to a wide range of both indigenous and international grape varieties, and produces a broad portfolio of wine styles. The company’s philosophy is based on combining modern winemaking techniques with grapes from traditional vineyards.
Grapes are sourced from Murviedro’s 300 hectares of vineyard, and surrounding area. The blend is an equal split of all 3 grape varieties, with the Monastrell component aged for 4 months in oak.
