Ai Galera, ‘Poetico’, Castelão/Trincadeira
Tejo | Portugal
A blend of three indigenous varieties. Silk-smooth and juicy with plump cherry fruit and mellow tannins.
About the Producer
Long overlooked by the wine cognoscenti, the burgeoning interest in Portuguese wine is finally resulting in more awareness of the potential of this proud country. The previously undervalued Tejo region, lying to the south of Lisbon, is capable of producing wines of enormous value and character – something that is captured by Ai Galera.
From around the region of Charneca on sandy-clay soils.
Each variety is fermented separately in temperature controlled stainless steel vats at 23 ºC.
Food Pairing
White meats and soft cheese.
