Tejo | Portugal
Smooth, juicy and easy-drinking with yellow fruit flavours. Made from a blend of indigenous varieties including Verdelho, one of the noble grapes of Madeira!
About the Producer
Long overlooked by the wine cognoscenti, the burgeoning interest in Portuguese wine is finally resulting in more awareness of the potential of this proud country. The previously undervalued Tejo region, lying to the south of Lisbon, is capable of producing wines of enormous value and character – something that is captured by Ai Galera.
From vineyards around Lezíria & Charneca. Vines are planted on sandy-loam and sandy clay soils.
Direct pressing of the grapes, followed by the fermentation of the clarified must at 14ºC.
