Winzer Krems, Orange Wine
Wachau | Austria

Skin-fermented for three weeks, it glows a rich orange and offers a honeyed pepper nose, unfolding on the palate with peach, apricot, and a hint of spice.
About the Producer
Orange wine is wine made from white grapes that have been fermented with their skins on. It’s also called skin contact wine, skin-fermented wine, or amber wine. Orange wines, or skin-contact wines, are created using white grapes with their skins on. This means that, while the crushed grapes are fermenting, they take on a more tannic quality from their skins and pips, but also a deeper colour. Generally, orange wines are described as being robust and full-bodied with a great depth of flavour like a red wine and the refreshing qualities of a white wine. The Grüner Veltliner is fermented on the skins for 21 days.
