Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
In 1571 William Slingsby discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from Harrogate’s Tewit Well. His discovery brought visitors from all around to the wonderfully picturesque spa town as they came to ‘take the waters’ which were thought to have medicinal properties. Marcus Black and Mike Carthy were inspired by this story and the beautiful and restorative surrounding flora of Harrogate. Using their London Dry Gin, the distillers here carefully infuse raspberries and Yorkshire rhubarb grown from the famous “Rhubarb Triangle.” On the nose is jammy rhubarb with subtle raspberry and grapefruit notes. These unique botanicals are complemented with water drawn from the world-famous Harrogate aquifer, pure single grain spirit and a handful of the finest ingredients sourced from around the world.
