Penderyn Distillery is situated on the tip of the Brecon Beacons, chosen due to the site’s proximity to fresh natural spring water. They produce their own malted barley spirit which, when matured, is recognised worldwide as one of the finest single malts. Penderyn Portwood Whisky uses their award winning single malt and ages it bourbon casks before finishing in port barrels which gives the whisky deep aromas of rich, dried fruits, cranberries and bitter chocolate. The palate offers a smooth, honey’d, creamy richness which is balanced by a finish of nutty, soft oak.
