About Jindea Distillery
Nestled in the lush green foothills of the Himalayas lies Jindea Distillery, founded by Anand Virmani and his wife Ritu. They meticulously handcraft small-batch artisanal spirits that reconnect India’s ancient distilling traditions with contemporary gin making.
The distillery sources the finest Indian teas and botanicals to produce unique gins in their traditional copper pot still named ‘Malti’. By using fresh spring water from the Himalayas and distilling their spirits very slowly, Jindea Gins reflect the beautiful Indian terroir.
Jindea Distillery aims to showcase how Indian gins can hold their own against the finest from London. They are part of the movement bringing the old-world craft of distilling back to life in India.

The Jindea Single Estate Tea Gin starts with the exceptionally delicate and floral first flush Darjeeling tea leaves. These are hand-plucked during springtime on a single estate in the Himalayan Mountains of West Bengal.

Tasting Note

Golden in the glass, with aromas of piney mountain juniper, zesty grapefruit and warming ginger on the nose. Dangerously smooth on the palate — delicate flavours of peach, juicy apricot and tart grapefruit in harmony. The finish builds to a crescendo of Darjeeling tea’s floral muscatel character, wrapped in cardamom and ginger warmth. Crisp and sweet, it leaves you eagerly anticipating the next sip.
