Hepple Spirits is an artisanal distillery located on the family-owned Hepple Estate in rural Northumberland. Founded in 2014 by Valentine and Walter Riddell, the distillery uses locally sourced botanicals like juniper and Douglas fir to create their London Dry gin.
They forage ingredients by hand and distill their spirits using traditional methods like Carter-Head copper stills. This dedication to craftsmanship results in an exceptionally smooth, balanced gin showcasing the terroir of Northumberland.
They produce small batches of 500 bottles per run, focusing on quality over quantity. Hepple Spirits’ hands-on approach embodies the new wave of bespoke British distilleries making world-class spirits.

Tasting Note

Bright, floral juniper on the nose with hints of citrus, spice and herbaceous notes. Clean and smooth on the palate, with juniper balanced by coriander, lemon peel and angelica root. Green tea, pink grapefruit and Douglas fir bring additional complexity. Dry and crisp on the finish with lingering juniper and citrus.
