Hell’s Stone Whisky

40.0% | 70.0cl

Introducing Hells Stone Whisky – a remarkable creation from the award-winning distillery, Pocket Full of Stones, located in the stunning region of Cornwall, England. This whisky is crafted with the utmost care and precision, ensuring a top-quality taste that will leave you speechless.

Legend has it that the devil once tried to claim Cornwall, but St Michael intervened. During an epic aerial battle, St Michael struck a fire-breathing dragon, causing it to drop a red-hot boulder. This spot became known as Hell’s Stone, and locals celebrate St Michael’s victory to this day.

Pocketful of Stones distills their whisky by first creating top-quality craft beer, then distilling it with their handmade copper pot still, Jackson. The young whisky is then aged in used oak barrels near St Michael’s Mount, with the evaporation during aging referred to as the angel’s share. Given the legend of Hell’s Stone and St Michael’s involvement, it’s a fitting name for their whisky.

Hells Stone Whisky is made using a combination of locally grown barley and malt, which is then distilled in traditional copper stills. The whisky is matured in oak casks, which are carefully selected to impart a rich and complex flavour profile. The result is a full-bodied whisky with a smooth finish.

Tasting Note

Vanilla and caramel on the nose, with a hint of oak. Dark chocolate, toasted nuts and a touch of smoke on the first sip. Long and warm on the finish, with a lingering sweetness.
