Guerila, Cabernet Franc Organic
Vipava Valley | Slovenia

Aromas and flavours of dry plums, forest undergrowth, wild leather, tobacco and pepper. Superbly rich and weighty. Biodynamic.
About the Producer
Zmago Petrič’s family winery in Vipavska Dolina works organically and biodynamically, focusing on local varieties Zelen and Pinela, unique to the region. Grapes are hand-picked, naturally fermented, and bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur, producing delicate, mineral, and fresh wines. The Cabernet Franc comes from terraced vineyards at Zavrh, 250-350m elevation, on marine sediment soils. Vines face south and are about 8 years old. Since 2011, the vineyards have been farmed biodynamically. Grapes undergo hand harvest, four weeks maceration, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and malolactic fermentation.
