Piemonte | Italy

Floral aromas lead to flavours of plum and strawberry, finishing with a fresh and vibrant feel.

About the Producer

Folli & Benato are long-standing friends and colleagues for over 20 years. Italian born and bred, they met whilst living in England, working in the drinks trade. Together, they share a deep-rooted passion for wine and in particular the region of Piedmont, they source and bottle wines which truly reflect Piedmont’s many terroirs, whilst remaining excellent value for money. For this wine, Barbera grapes are hand-harvested in the third week of September. After crushing and de-stemming, the must is transferred to stainless steel tank where fermentation and maceration lasts around 6 days. Then the wine goes through malolactic fermentation straight after. The wine remains in stainless steel for about 4 months prior to bottling, and spends 3 months in bottle before release.

Food Pairing

Bagna càuda (literally meaning “hot bath”), a native Piedmontese dipping dish made from garlic, anchovies, and olive oil.
