Chateau L`Ermitage, `Auzan` Rouge, Costières de Nîmes
Rhone | France

Intense, bright and ripe raspberry fruit with a slightly smokey note. Well structured, grippy and slightly peppery, this is a serious wine.
About the Producer
The domaine is in the south of the appellation cooled by the sea breezes of the Camargue and sitting on an ancient, raised river bed with galets roulés soil. The vines are 25 years old and yields are around 50 hl/ha. Grapes are destemmed and fermented traditionally for 15 days to ensure a good balance of fruit and tannins.
Food Pairing
Côte de Boeuf, lamb cutlets with rosemary, dishes with a touch of chilli spice, mature hard cheeses.
