About the Producer

In 2012, Peter Kwok and his son Howard acquired Château La Patache in Pomerol, covering 3.18 hectares across nine plots with diverse soils of fine gravel, crasse de fer, and clay subsoil. The estate’s name comes from the old French horse-drawn coaches called “les pataches,” once common on the nearby national road 89, as shown on Napoleonic maps. Vineyard management follows traditional farming with natural grassing and environmental respect. Fermentation is done without added sulphur, with only minimal sulphur introduced after aging.
