Boutinot, ‘La Fleur Solitaire’, Côtes du Rhône Blanc
Rhône Valley | France

Delicate aromas of hedgerow flowers lead to a fresh, medium-bodied, vinous wine with nuanced flavours and careful oak influence. A proper white Côtes du Rhône.
About the Producer
Domaine Boutinot’s seven vineyards are planted with classic southern Rhône grape varieties – old vine Grenache Noir and Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan Noir. Working with our vigneron neighbours we are helping to revive traditional grape varieties such as Cinsault and Counoise, and in the cellar we prefer time-honoured winemaking methods such as a long cuvasion aided only by natural yeasts, gentle remontage, manual pigeage and patient maturation in a nursery of French oak barrels.
Food Pairing
A lovely apéritif, and delicious with lighter dishes such as grilled asparagus drizzled with olive oil and toasted almonds or a goats cheese salad. Fish and chicken are a perfect partner; especially grilled halibut or cod.
