Bodegas Canopy Ganadero Blanco
In 2018, Bodegas Canopy released Bodegas Canopy Ganadero Blanco, a young, unaged wine made up of 90% Macabeo, 5% White Grenache, and 5% Verdejo. This exquisite and complex white wine with a strong identity and character is created from grapes grown on 25-year-old vines in Camarena at an elevation of 400 metres (Toledo).
Its 5,000 bottles embody the winery’s idea of sustainable winegrowing with little interference. This allows the sandy soils to fully express themselves, releasing the strength and distinctiveness of this new wine.
The striking label stands out in the spirit of disrupting the status quo, which is Bodegas Canopy’s M.O. Bodegas Canopy Ganadero Blanco pays respect to the role of women in the wine market.
Tasting Note
Straw yellow in colour, clean and vibrant. The nose is filled with floral and grassy notes, with traces of red and white fruits, fennel, strawberry, and peach. Such depth and intensity are unusual in a young wine.
It’s broad and smooth in the palate, with hints of pineapple and flinty minerality.
Elegant with well-balanced acidity, its freshness is alluring whatever the season.
