Arran, Sherry Cask Finish

Made at Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, this single malt captures the fresh, fruit-driven character for which Arran is renowned. The whisky is initially matured in bourbon casks for 10 years before spending around nine months in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. The Sherry finish adds layers of dried fruit, sweetness and gentle spice to the whisky’s naturally bright orchard-fruit and citrus character. It is bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration.

Tasting Note

Fresh and elegant, with candied citrus, honey, orchard fruit and creamy vanilla on the nose. The palate is rounded and fruity, with sweet apple and citrus alongside dried fruit, soft oak and gentle Sherry spice. The finish is clean and lingering, with hazelnut, cinnamon and a delicate sweetness.
