Tarquin’s Rhubarb & Raspberry Gin 70cl, 38%
Hand crafted on the wild Cornish Coast, the fully-independent, family-run distillery lays claim to 3 250 litre copper stills called Tamara, Senara and Tressa and 1 500 litre still called Ferarra.
11 botanicals from all around the world are added to the stills to be macerated overnight in a neutral grain spirits before finally adding violets, rhubarb and raspberry in the morning.
This process creates a fresh, piney gin with lemon sherbet notes, a touch of eastern spice and a lingering floral complexity and the addition of the most delicious raspberries and rhubarb give this gin it’s gorgeous blush and fruity complexity.
TASTE
Initial hit of rhubarb sorbet followed by fresh raspberries and soft juniper.
NOSE
Crisp, fragrant juniper still prominent as the backbone of the gin, with notes of lemon sherbet, crisp pine and eastern spice
FINISH
Candied raspberry jam and zesty citrus sorbet. Retains a lovely dryness to the finish due to zero added sugar.
