Le Cava De Don Agustin Anejo Tequila
The Camarena Family is one of the big players in the UK’s growing tequila market with a variety of agave products available. Their lineage spreads as far back as the early 18th century when their ancestors co-founded the town of Arandas where their distillery can be found today. 1860 saw the family plant their own agave estates and 1931 was when Don Agustin Camarena founded Casa Casco Viejo. Homegrown Piñas are baked for 60 hours. cooled slowly before crushing and fermented with a cultured yeast for 72-84 hours. The Cava is then double distilled before being aged for 12 months in american oak. The oak imparts a rich toffee and butterscotch flavour with bold, sweet agave and pepper notes.
